The minute you walk into Dr. Stein’s boutique-style practice, you’re put at ease. With over 20 years of experience, there’s a lot of personalized patient care with Dr. Stein and his staff. Dr. Stein is conservative in his approach and believes that ‘less is more.’ His philosophy is: ”procedures yield better results when the defects are mild to moderate.”
In other words, don’t wait too long to correct natural aging. “Generally, if done correctly, cosmetic procedures are a one-time surgery. Ultimately, I want my patients to look refreshed, rejuvenated and contoured... If a patient has a facelift they shouldn’t look ‘done.’ After a tummy tuck, people may think you’ve lost weight. And after a neck lift, friends will think you were on vacation or you’re using a new kind of cosmetic.”

Dr. Stein sees a wide variety of patients from teens to ‘baby boomers,’ to mature seniors. The ‘wish list’ is vast and varies depending on age; Botox, facial fillers, breast augmentations, liposuction to neck lifts. Maintenance is key to looking your best. When choosing a plastic surgeon, be careful of the claims made by ‘cosmetic surgeons.’ The ‘board-certified cosmetic surgeon’ is not a plastic surgeon. “That’s why we believe patient education is so important.”

Dr. Stein graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor and completed a plastic surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons. He is a member of the Michigan State Medical Society, The Michigan Academy of Plastic Surgeons and The Oakland County Medical Society.
